Game of the Month - February 2013

Let's hear some suggestions. I'm always down for some Minecraft, but it seems like we've been going back to that one a lot recently.

i think im totally in the mood to play spore, or maybe Pokemon Blue, because it only has 150 pokemon and doesnt suck! lol

Spore is ridiculously fun and addictive. That would be an interesting game of the month for sure.

i hear from a good source that Black and White has some good multiplayer value

Im thinking Star Wars: the Old Republic. Who's in?

I'm in for SWTOR being the GoTM

If we were to do a pokemon themed gotm we could try pokemon world online or some other simulator where we interact

That's a great idea! I mentioned Pokemon World Online the other day as the next potential GoTM while we were on Minecraft. I said, I thought you played it before, because I was asked if it was released to test yet.

lol yeah me and my roomies played it last year. there were some glitches in it still but it was entertaining enough

The benefit of playing SWTOR would be that it's currently free to play, that being said they've actually created a premium subscription so the free players miss out on a lot of stuff from the game, almost to the point where it's annoying to even play. I played it for like two months (paid card so everything was available to me), and I'd say it still doesn't hold up to WoW, but it is pretty fun for the star wars fans. Also, from seeing the dialogue in the game I think it might be intended for children (i.e. Your companion's likes: Bad guys. Durrrr)

I recommend everyone getting Chivalry: Medieval Warfare if possible. Some of the best melee combat I've played, hella fun all around. I got it for under $5 on a Christmas steam sale, I'm not sure what it's current price is though.

Yeah Chivalrys a pretty good game, however it can be quite laggy if you have bad internets or laptop

Just a comment on the Pokemon options Sam brought up. Red and blue were awesome everyone knows that. Black and white has a good story I wouldn't mind playing through again. Black and white 2's story is ungodly unbearable. For Pokemon battling Pokemon showdown is fun, you just pick the Pokemon you want on your team, your tier, you pick the ev's without the long farming. I guess it's Pokemon without the boringness all battling.

A possible suggestion for next month? Borderlands one, or bio shock would be neat
